Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has inaugurated the newly elected Chairmen and Vice Chairmen to run the affairs of the 27 local government areas of the state.
Governor Uzodimma urged them to set aside political differences and embark on projects that will have direct bearing on the lives of the people.
He warned against corruption in the third tier of government noting that the state would collaborate with the local government administration in boosting internally generated revenue.
The Governor reminded them of their roles in fighting insecurity adding that the citizens relied on the government for the protection of lives and property.
The 27 chairmanship seats and 305 councillorship positions in the council election that was held on September 21 were all won by All Progressives Congress APC.
