The theme of the UNESCO World Philosophy Day is ‘Philosophy for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future.’

According to UNESCOs General Conference, Philosophy is a discipline that encourages critical and independent thought and is capable of working towards a better understanding of the world and promoting tolerance and peace.
Prof Ifechi Ndianefoo who is widely celebrated for his mastery of the works of lionized philosophers such as Karl Popper alongside deep-thinking columnists and public intellectuals agrees with UNESCO that the institutionalisation of the World Philosophy Day will lend the necessary impetus to the teaching of philosophy all over the world.
