The Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Hon. Aka Eze Aka, has demonstrated deep commitment to the welfare of People With Disabilities (PWDs), as he celebrated the 2024 International Day of Persons with Disabilities in grand style.
It would be recalled that during the celebration of IDPWDs, on December 16, the chairman distributed wheelchairs, crutches, and other support services to persons with disabilities at the council headquarters.
The chairman’s gesture was accompanied by an inspirational message, which emphasised the importance of ensuring a sustainable future for all.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of Enugu State Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities, Mr Onyebuchi Mba, commended Aka for the gesture and prayed for God’s continued blessings upon him.
Mbah commended the chairman’s dedication to promoting the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in the area.
“His leadership is a shining example of what it means to serve the community with compassion and empathy.
“This is in line with Governor Peter Mbah’s inclusive innovation in governance, with the mantra “Operation Leave No One Behind.”
“The disability community in Enugu State is grateful for the governor’s leadership and the chairman’s efforts to promote their welfare.
“Together, achieving a world of sustainable future for all in Enugu State is possible,” he said.
