The distribution took place at Girls Secondary School Ishiagu in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, South-East Nigeria.
The Lawmaker said the distribution of empowerment items to his constituents, were designed to support them in their various endeavours, either in local transportation, commerce, or personal development.
Kama noted that the selection of the beneficiaries of the empowerment items was consistent with their constituency representation and in keeping with the detribalised governance approach of the state governor.
He noted that there was inclusivity, fairness, and proper spread, irrespective of a political party, religion or other differences during the selection process.
The lawmaker also disclosed that he was able to sponsor 11 bills and move 18 motions in the house, with other interventions rendered to his constituents while addressing their plights in his office.
Flirting with APC?
Meanwhile, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Mr Francis Nwifuru commended Kama for distributing thousands of empowerment items to his constituents.
He described the House of Representatives member as a great transformer and humble leader who never minded his financial status while discharging his legislative duties in the National Assembly.
“Kama is a great transformer and a humble leader who never minds his financial status even when he is working as a federal lawmaker. He is giving out countless empowerment items to his constituents today.
“People are asking me whether Kama is joining my party (APC) today, but I’m not after the party now.
“I am here because I’m invited as the Governor of the State, and that’s what is called governance. As you are sending the empowerment items to the wards, let it go to my party,” he said.
He further described Kama as a prayer answered and a beacon of hope for the people of the state, particularly the OHANIVO people, and advised him to join the All Progressives Congress APC, which he described as a moving train, before the electioneering time.
One of the beneficiaries, Monday Egbe prayed for God’s blessings upon the Lawmaker.
