Governor Peter Mbah, has expressed his delight to receive, the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Enugu State on Saturday January 4, 2025, on a state visit to commission some of the transformative projects executed by his administration.
Using his X social media handle, the governor outlined some of the projects to include: “30 completed and equipped Enugu Smart Green Schools out of the 260 under construction in the wards across the state; 60 completed Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres out of the 260 under construction.”
Mbah said that, “these initiatives reflect our commitment to quality education and accessible healthcare for all.”
He said that the completed multi-auditorium Enugu International Conference Centre, 90 urban roads, and a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre with 150 patrol vehicles fitted with AI-embedded surveillance cameras were meant to reposition “our state as a hub of progress, safety, and opportunity.”
“The President’s visit will be a milestone for us; a testament to our shared vision that is taking shape. We are excited to welcome Mr President to Enugu State,” Mbah said.
In the same vein, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has welcomed the state visit by the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Enugu State.
Ohanaeze expressed delight over the gradual attitudinal change of the Federal Government towards the Igbo.
In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Alex Ogbonnia, the Apex Igbo cultural organisation insisted that national peace, unity, patriotism and sustainable economic development of any country were the outcomes, effects or products of equity, and social justice.
“In other words, there is hardly any society or group that can be complacent under severe existential threats such as orchestrated marginalisation, relative deprivations, and external instigation of insecurity, conflagrations and crises.
“It is, therefore, hoped that with the Enugu visit, President Tinubu will write his name in gold in the hearts of Ndigbo and all the well-meaning Nigerians, if he orders for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,” Ohaneze said.
Ohanaeze also commended Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State for his disruptive, innovative and massive infrastructural developments in Enugu State.
