The Commissioner for Education in Enugu State, Dr. Obi Ozor, has donated more than 1,000 exercise books to his alma mater, Christ High School, Abor, in Udi Local Government Area of the state.
Dr. Ozor, who was represented by his Personal Assistant, Mr. Kingsley Mba, at the presentation of the books also presented cash gifts to the overall best students from JSS1 to SS3.
In a statement, read on his behalf, he emphasised his commitment to supporting the education programmes of the Enugu State Government.
He pledged to continue providing support to educational institutions in the state, with the aim of promoting academic excellence and empowering the youth.
He said that the donation was part of his efforts to give back to the community and support the development of education in Enugu State.
The management and students of Christ High School expressed their gratitude to Dr. Ozor for his kind gesture saying it would go a long way in supporting the academic pursuits of the students.
