A fully loaded truck coming from the Northern part of Nigeria on Thursday collided with a bus causing a fatal accident.
The accident occurred close to the site of the tanker explosion at the area which claimed about 40 lives last month.
An eyewitness, Mr Eze Paul, said that the truck conveying vegetables collided with oncoming vehicle at Ugwu-Onyeama/New Market flyover, near Enugu.
“In fact, I personally confirmed seven dead bodies and many still trapped under the flyover bridge,” he said.
Ikengaonline recalled that just last month Ugwu-Onyeama witnessed a fatal tanker explosion that caused the death of many motorists and commuters.
The police and road safety are yet to comment on the incident.
