The Police Command in Enugu State says it has commenced investigations over the murder of a young woman in an hotel in Nsukka, Enugu State.
The incident occurred at the Madoka Hotel on Ibagwa Road, Nsukka, with the suspect said to be on the run.
The victim reportedly checked in with a young man who claimed she had left early in the morning.
However, the hotel staff discovered the lady’s body later, and reported to the police.
However, in a statement the spokesman, of the command, SP Daniel Ndukwe, has debunked claims of ritual murder and body mutilation.
According to Ndukwe, the victim’s body parts were intact, while there was no evidence to support the ritual claims.
He said that investigations have commenced to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.
