Former Senate President, David Mark, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, citing internal divisions and unresolved crises.
Senator Mark who tendered his resignation to the party chairman in his local ward in Otukpo in Benue State, said he had remained loyal and contributed his all to the PDP especially holding fort for the party even as the last man standing after the loss of the 2015 general election.
“I bring warm greetings to you and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Otukpo Ward 1, and by extension, to the entire Benue State and Nigeria. I write to formally inform you of my decision to resign my membership of the party with immediate effect,” the letter read in part.
The former Senate President said he was leaving the PDP to join the coalition movement to rescue Nigeria from anti-democratic forces.
