Liverpool star Diogo Jota has died after a car crash in Spain.
The footballer’s brother has also died following the incident in Zamora in northwestern Spain on Thursday morning.
Marca report the incident took place near the Zamora region of Sanabria.
Jota’s vehicle was engulfed in flames after crashing off-road.
Jota, 28, married his partner Rute Cardoso on 22 June. The couple had three children together.
Jota’s last Instagram post, shared on Wednesday, was their wedding video.
His brother Andre, 26, was also a footballer, playing for Portuguese side Penafiel. It is not clear at this stage who was driving the vehicle.
Jota joined Liverpool from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2020 for £40million.
The Portugal international has been a key figure at Anfield, winning the Premier League title last season under Arne Slot.
