Lawrence Nwimo, Awka
Action Alliance (AA) governorship candidate, Ọzọ Jephat Ezechukwu Nweke, has promised to usher in a new era of governance and change in Anambra State if elected on November 8.
Nweke, who made the promise while addressing journalists on Tuesday in Awka, the state capital, said he was tired of seeing the people of Anambra suffer in silence.
The guber candidate said he is not a politician with empty promises, but a candidate who represents the common man, the streets, and hustlers.
He claimed to have felt the weight of the broken system and promised to work tirelessly for the people of the State.
According to him, “I am not a guy man like them, I am a nig**r. There is no place for nonsense in me. If we move, we go straight to action. Therefore, this is the first time in Anambra state in the history of Anambra politics that we are having a candidate, every sense of it all, with all he has in him, representing the common man, the streets and hustlers; I am the candidate.
“I am not a stranger to you but one of you. I am in this race to be Governor not because of power but because I am tired of seeing people suffering in silence. I am tired of seeing our youths giving up. It should not be like that because our youths are brilliant but nobody believes in their dreams.”
Nweke promised to provide leadership grounded in action, rooted in truth and integrity, and delivered with heart. He urged the people of Anambra State to come out en masse on November 8 to vote for change and decide their destiny for themselves.
“We are sick of looking at them looting our resources, breaking all their promises, intimidating us, whipping us into line, suppressing us. The game is over because we are here now. Change has finally come,” he said.
Nweke assured the people that his servicing and services will be totally different from those of previous leaders, promising to speak the truth and ensure that no one is invincible under his leadership.
