President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, on his 58th birthday, describing him as one of the “shining stars” of his cabinet and an exceptional performer.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, the President celebrated Wike on his birthday, December 13, thanking God for a life marked by purpose, service, and courage.
President Tinubu praised the former Rivers State governor as an audacious top performer who consistently defies obstacles and delivers results, particularly in the ongoing transformation of the Federal Capital Territory.
He highlighted the Minister’s role in expanding infrastructure across the FCT, citing the recent breakthrough in the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road, which had stalled for 14 years.
The President further commended Wike’s resilience, can-do attitude, and commitment to excellence, noting that his performance has reinforced his reputation as “Mr Project” beyond Rivers State.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet, an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers,” Tinubu said.
He also lauded the Minister for his support of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, despite belonging to a different political party.
“I commend him for being one of the champions of our Renewed Hope Agenda, even though he belongs to another party, and wish him well as he marks another year in his life journey,” the President added.
Tinubu wished Wike a happy birthday and renewed strength to sustain his pace of delivery in the FCT.
