The Enugu State Government, through the Ministry of Transportation, has announced the immediate relocation of all transport operations to the five newly established Enugu State Ultra-Modern Transport Terminals.
The terminals are located at Holy Ghost Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 in Enugu North Local Government Area; Garriki in Enugu South LGA; Abakpa in Enugu East LGA; and Nsukka in Nsukka LGA.
In a public service announcement, the government directed all transport operators to load and offload passengers strictly within the designated terminals.
It further emphasised that all access roads within and around the terminals must be kept clear of vehicle parking to ensure smooth traffic flow and orderly operations.
“Passengers have also been advised to enter the terminals to board their designated vehicles, as roadside loading and boarding will no longer be permitted,” the government said.
In the statement, the government warned that “any violation of this directive will attract enforcement actions.”
It further stressed that the measure was aimed at improving safety, efficiency, and overall transport management across the state.
The government expressed appreciation for the cooperation of all transport operators, stakeholders, and members of the public as the new directive takes effect.
