The Executive Director, Development Specs Academy, Professor Okey Ikechukwu, will be the Special Guest at this month’s Ikengaonline townhall meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 26.
Prof. Ikechukwu, a multidisciplinary scholar, public affairs analyst, and management consultant, will speak on the topic: “SEDC: Promise, Politics, and the Future of the South-East.”
He will x-ray the performance of the commission and the huge expectations of the people from it.

The monthly meeting, scheduled for 7:00 pm (WAT), will be co-anchored by US-based prolific writer and medical doctor, Osmund Agbo; and veteran journalist and author, Dr Chido Onumah.

Professor Ikechukwu, the former Director-General of the International Institute of Leadership and Governance, had previously taught philosophy at the University of Lagos and currently teaches at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre and the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA).
He is versed and knowledgeable in governance and the workings of government, having previously served as Special Assistant to ministers of Transport; Information and National Orientation; Consultant to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF); and as Head of Communications at the Federal Ministry of Education.
Professor Ikechukwu, who has served on the editorial boards of many newspapers, including The Guardian, The Comet (now The Nation) and ThisDay, among others, is also a regular analyst on Arise Television, Channels, and AIT.
A member of the National Institute (mni), he is a patron of the Nigerian Karate Association (NKA); Chairman of the Board of the FCT branch; and a member of the National Governing Council.
Professor Ikechukwu holds a Japanese Karate Association (JKA)-certified Black Belt in Shotokan Karate. He also holds a Brown Belt in Wing Chun Kung Fu.
