Chidozie Ekesinachi, elder brother to the deceased two brothers, Chukwuemeka and Ifesinachi Ekesinachi, who were among those reportedly killed by the suspected members of the Ebubeagu security operatives last Sunday, has explained how his two brothers were allegedly murdered.
They were reportedly attacked while returning from a traditional wedding ceremony at Awo-omamma in Oru East Local Government Area, to Otulu in Oru West Local Government area in the state.
Chidozie Ekesinachi who narrated his story to newsmen in Owerri, also recalled how the Ebubeagu operatives arrested him on Sunday and detained him till Monday when he was set free alongside others.
According to him, they were not told of any offence they committed before they were arrested by the Ebubeagu operatives.
He said he was detained at the Oru East council area where they were forced to spend the night and that he got to know of how his brothers were killed on Monday when he was set free from detention by the Ebubeagu operatives.
“I heard my brother was killed and I started rushing there to find out if it was true. I got there I saw my brothers and many others lying lifeless. Some of them were still apprentices in their various workplaces. Mainly those I saw were indigenes of Otulu; the names of my two brothers are Chukwuemeka and Ifesinachi.
“They were killed at the premises of the traditional wedding ceremony. Some Ebubeagu operatives started beating them and put them in the boot of a jeep vehicle. The Ebubeagu people carried us to their station in Omuma Local Government Area. The next day they brought us out and asked us to go.”
