No fewer than forty-five officers from the Anambra State Command of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, have been promoted to new ranks.
The forty-five officers, who received insignia of their new ranks at the Anambra State Sector Command Headquarters of FRSC, Awka, were among the overall seventy-five that were promoted under the Anambra Command.
Among the newly promoted officers were six Assistant Corps Commanders who were promoted to Deputy Corps Commanders; one officer from the rank of Chief Route Commander to Assistant Corps Commander; eleven officers from the rank of Superintendent Route Commanders to Chief Route Commanders; twenty-two Route Commanders to Superintendent Route Commanders; eighteen Deputy Route Commanders to Route Commanders; and fourteen Assistant Route Commanders to Deputy Route Commanders.
Addressing the newly-promoted officers, the Anambra State Sector Commander of FRSC, Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi, said that promotion is mark of progress, and recognition of diligence and commitment to service, noting that the current number of overall promoted officers, is the largest in history of the command.
Mr Irelewuyi stated that FRSC recently adopted some benchmarks as its 2023 Corporate Strategic Goals which include to accomplish fiver per cent reduction in road traffic mishaps; enhance road safety partnership for innovative intervention; and improve data capacity collection, analysis and management for enhanced road safety policy formulation.
Meanwhile, some of the newly-promoted senior officers attributed their promotions to grace and hard work, that call for more commitment to service.
Representatives of Anambra commands of Nigeria Police Force, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Department of State Security, DSS, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Correctional Service, NCS, and the Special Marshal Corps, witnessed the event.
