The presidential bid of the Labour Party flag bearer, Mr Peter Obi, Monday, received a major boost, as the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has adopted him as its candidate for the Saturday presidential poll.
This is as some socio-cultural organisations have also endorsed Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, as their consensus candidate for the February 25 election.
The groups involved in the star alliance partners are: Nigeria Mothers for Good Governance, Fulani United, Nigeria Artisans, League of Imams, and Nigeria Traders.
Others include: Yoruba United, Mega Political Coalition, Kanuris United, Amalgamated Coalitions, CEG Groups and Nigeria Legions United.
Some dignitaries at the event in Abuja include: ADC National Chairman, BoT Chairman, and a chieftain of the Labour Party (LP), Professor Pat Utomi.
Obi’s candidacy has continued to receive wider acceptance across the country especially among to the youths who see him as the face of a new Nigeria.
