The Abia central senatorial candidate of the Young Peoples Party, YPP, Chief Chuku Wachuku, has raised the alarm over missing result sheets in the voting materials brought to his Mbawsi Isiala Ngwa North Ward.
The former Director General, National Directorate of Employment, NDE, who spoke with our Correspondent alleged that when officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, came to the polling unit, there were no result sheets among the materials they brought.
He said that upon inquiry, the INEC officials said result sheets were not among the items given to them but added that it would be brought later.
Wachuku expressed fears over the explanation by INEC, alleging foul play.
The YPP candidate also alleged that suspected agents of the ruling parties were busy sharing dollars to voters to influence them.
“They were sharing dollars here but we cannot match their pockets. We keep telling our people not to sell their conscience.”
