The Labour Party has won the Isiala Ngwa North and South federal constituency of Abia State in Saturday’s National Assembly election.
Labour Party candidate, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, scored 20411 votes to floor his closest rival, Professor Anthony Agbazuere of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who secured 13, 508 votes.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, got 2, 976.
Before joining the Labour Party mid-last year following some disappointments with Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, the Abia lawmaker had been a strong member of the ruling PDP.
