Unknown gunmen suspected to be herdsmen at the weekend invaded Eburummiri village, Ibagwa Aka Community in Igboeze South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
A village source, who craved anonymity told Ikengaonline that the Invaders suspected to have come from the neighbouring Kogi State stormed the village at about 10:30pm on Saturday.
“They invaded the community via Agu Ibagwa around 10:30pm on Saturday night and kidnapped four people and killed two in the process,” he said.
He also said that the marauders had their way throughout the operation after which they succeeded in killing two persons and abducted four other persons.
“They also killed two security personnel that went for a rescue mission and a woman they thought was the one that alerted the security.
“They had a field night operating and later left through Agu Ibagwa forest bordering Kogi area,” he said.
The Police are yet to confirm the incident.
