Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, Friday transmitted 19 Commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The letter from the Governor was read by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, on the floor of the assembly.

Gov. Otti had while inaugurating his Transition Council, hinted that he would have a lean cabinet as part of his resolve to reduce the cost of governance.
The last set of Commissioners appointed by the immediate-past Governor Okezie Ikpeazu were 28 in number.
