Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, has congratulated Miss Ekpereamaka Obiasor, for winning an international scholarship for her one-year Master’s Degree Programme in Management at the University of Derby, United Kingdom.
The scholarship was awarded by Acobarry Charity Foundation, a nongovernmental charity organisation with an interest in youth development and promoting access to quality education for indigent students in Anambra State.
Miss Ekpereamaka Obiasor, who emerged the winner of the 2023 Acobarry Charity Foundation’s Education Scholarship was received by Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah at his Maitama Abuja residence on Friday.
Speaking during the meeting, Senator Ubah congratulated Miss Obiasor and urged her to make her benefactor, her family, Anambra South, and Nigerians proud of her academic achievements.
The Senator said he was highly impressed by Miss Obiasor’s determination and ambition, and assured her of his support during her time of study abroad.
He also encouraged her to take full advantage of the resources and experiences available to her at the University of Derby and to use her knowledge and skills to create meaningful change in Nigeria.
He highlighted the need for more initiatives like the Acobarry Charity Foundation, which provides scholarships and support to deserving students, noting that education remains a fundamental right to the Nigerian youth. He also said the country must invests in the future of the youth by providing them with access to quality education.
Sen. Ubah also commended the Management of Acobarry Charity Foundation led by the founder, Hon Onyedika Chukwuma, for their commitment to promoting education and providing opportunities for young Nigerians to further their studies.
During their conversation, Miss Obiasor expressed her gratitude for the scholarship and shared her excitement about the opportunity to study abroad.
She spoke passionately about her desire to contribute to the development of Nigeria and make a positive impact in her community upon her return.
