A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State, Elder Kenneth Nwarie, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the choice of Chief Eruba Dimgba from the oil-rich Ukwa land as the Commissioner nominee to represent Abia State on the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, board.
Nwarie who is the APC Chairman in the oil-producing Ukwa West Local Government Area, said Dimgba’s nomination enjoys the support of the people in view of his pedigree.
The APC Council boss described Dimgba as a man of vast experience who is always in touch with the grassroots.
He further described the nomination of Dimgba as a positive response to the yearnings of APC members that those that worked for the party should be rewarded.
Elder Nwarie recalled that he had in the past appealed to Tinubu and the leadership of the APC to avoid rewarding individuals that did not work for the success of the party.
In a statement on Friday, Nwarie extolled the virtues of the NDDC nominee, who he described as “a grassroots party man committed to elevating the quality of life of the people of Ukwa West.”
“The re-appointment of Dimgba will enable him consolidate on the achievements he made within the short period he functioned as NDDC Commissioner,” Nwarie added.
