The Supreme Court has finally fixed tomorrow, Thursday, October 26, to deliver judgment on the two appeals lodged by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar; and his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi, against the election of President Bola Tinubu.
Ikengaonline had reported that the Supreme Court had on Monday after all the parties had adopted their final written addresses, reserved judgment on the matter.
Meanwhile, the apex court, today, (Wednesday), via a notice signed by one of its Registrars, communicated the judgment date to all the parties.
The Plaintiffs are challenging the declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, that the flag bearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Tinubu, was the valid winner of the presidential election held on February 25.
Atiku and Obi prayed the Supreme Court to set aside the September 6 judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, which dismissed their allegation that the election was rigged in favour of the ruling party.
