The Imo State Police Command’s Rapid Response Squad (RRS), has intercepted a minibus with Reg No. KED 364XA along Bishop’s Court Road, Owerri and arrested two suspects.
The suspects 29 years old Jamilu Monday and 25 years old Dantala Musa were unlawfully in possession of one locally made cut-to-size gun and ten rounds of live cartridges neatly concealed in their bag.
Similarly, operatives of the Command’s Tactical Squad, say they also nabbed two suspects while on intensive stop and search at Naze Junction, along Aba road.
The suspects Ihechi Favour and Bright Chimezie, were unlawfully in possession of two fabricated guns, an axe, and a sharp iron object.
According to a release issued by the commands spokesperson , Mr. Henry Okoye, the suspects will be arraigned in court with the appropriate criminal charge upon completion of a comprehensive investigation.
The Commissioner of Police Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, while commending efforts of men of the command, affirmed that the Command will not relent in its efforts to stamp out all forms of violent crime in the State.
