Police to arraign two for invasion, destruction of vehicles, houses in Anambra

Police in Anambra State will on Tuesday arraign two suspects for invasion and destruction of cars, houses and other items worth millions of Naira at Iyiowa Odekpe in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The destruction, Ikengaonline gathered, took place on November 7, 2023.
It was targeted at Landlords of Iyiowa Odekpe community during which one Emeka Ani lost one of his eyes because of the beatings he received from the hoodlums.
The two men who would have been charged to Ogbaru Magistrate Court Friday, February 23, 2023, by Police men from Zone 13 Ukpo, were not as the Chief Magistrate Court and the Court registrar were absent in the Court.
The Police prosecutor, however, registered the matter and the suspects were returned to the cell till Tuesday February 27, 2027 for them to be formally charged.
No fewer than one person was severely injured causing the loss of one of his eyes, while about 30 vehicles, 20 buildings worth hundreds of millions of naira were destroyed by hoodlums who kicked against the Landlords Association to organize any election among themselves.
