Gunmen have shot and killed a Point of Sales (POS) operator in Ebonyi State, Mr Louis Emoji.
Mr Emoji was a native of Umuogudu-Akpu, Ngbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the state.
Sources in the area said that unidentified armed persons stormed his house in Ezzamgbo in same LGA at about 2:00hrs on Wednesday morning demanding for cash and in the process, he was shot dead.
The gunmen also made away with the mobile phone, cash and POS machine of the victim.
“At early hours of today, 28th February, 2024, at about 2 am; Mr. Enoshi Louis, a native of Ndiagu Orie of Umuogudu-Akpu Ngbo, was shot in his residence at Ezzamgbo in Ohaukwu LGA; Ebonyi State, by unidentified armed persons.
“He died on the spot, they made away with his Firstmonie POS, physical cash and phones. Leaving the wife who is pregnant with two kids devastated,” the source said.
Spokesperson of the Police in Ebonyi, Joshua Ụkandu, could not be reached for comments at the time of this report.
