The Enugu State Government has supported young farmers in the state with free solar water pumping machines and solar power to aide dry season farming.
The support was in line with Governor Peter Mbah administration’s vision to ensuring food security in the state.
Presenting the items, the Enugu State Commissioner for Agriculture and Agro-Industrialisation, Mr Patrick Ubru, said he was ready to support youths in the state with agricultural inputs to produce more food.
The Commissioner said that the state government under Dr. Peter Mbah, was poised to boost agriculture in the state through supports and deployment of the youths into agriculture.
Speaking, the President, Enugu State Young Farmers’ Association (ENSYFA), Kenneth Eze, commended the state government for the support.
He said: “We say a big thank you to the Commissioner and in extension to the Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah. We are grateful.
