The General Manager/CEO of Enugu Rangers International Football Club, Amobi Ezeaku, says the team is work in progress.
He said this while briefing Journalists on the present situation of things at the club in Enugu.
He said that the club had a workout plan and was not in a hurry to win the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL), this season 2023/24.
“We are work in progress with a workout plan; so, we are not under any kind of pressure.
“We don’t want to derail from our work plan, we have young players with great future,” he said.
Ezeaku said that the management of the club had secured partnership with three organizations in Enugu.
“We have secured partnerships with Kitchen Pastry; a fashion designing outfit; and Amachris Kitchen in addition to our jersey sponsors Afrinvest.
“We want Rangers to be an international brand and we are working towards achieving the feat,” he said.
The GM further revealed that the Rangers Foundation would be inaugurated next week in Enugu.
He revealed that Rangers was playing by the rules in line with FIFA, CAF and NFF.
He praised Gov. Peter Mbah for massive support for the club especially for ensuring that Rangers returned to the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium aka the Cathedral.
“The governor has always heard us and has promised to work on the stadium which I believe he will do.
“We will follow up on that and I am sure he will do as he promised,” he said.
Ezeaku also thanked the press for their positive reportage of Rangers affairs, adding that the press has been very supportive of the club.
Rangers currently occupy the first position on the NPFL table with 57 points ahead of second placed Remo Stars, who has 56 points.
