A yet to be identified lifeless body of a pregnant lady has been found in a bush at Uzoagba in Ikeduru LGA of Imo State.
The decomposing body was found strangled with her head, hands and legs tied backwards together.
According to a statement by the police public relations officer in the state, Mr. Henry Okoye, the decomposing corpse of the woman has been recovered and deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy
Mr. Okoye said a comprehensive investigation has been initiated to unravel the remote circumstances surrounding the mysterious death of the alleged pregnant woman.
“While effort has been intensified to locate the family of the lady, the police command therefore calls on Imo residents who might be searching for their loved one to contact the Police Division Iho in Ikeduru LGA of Imo State for identification.”
