The National Executive Council (NEC), Nigeria Union of Journalists has announced that the forthcoming Triennial Delegates Conference will be held in Owerri, Imo State, from the 28th to 30th November 2024.
This was contained in a Communique issued at the end of the Virtual Meeting presided by the President, Comrade Chris Isiguzo, MFR, and well attended by members of the Central Working Committee, State Council Chairmen and Secretaries on Friday, August 9, 2024.
The NUJ NEC also constituted a 9-man Credentials Committee led by Comrade Michael Ikeogwu as chairman and Comrade Ademu Seidu as Secretary, to organise for screening of aspirants of different positions.
Members of the credentials committee were charged with the responsibility of midwifing the conduct of a credible, transparent and successful election that would usher in the next Central Working Committee of the Union.
