Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, has allegedly sacked the state Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu.
Nwosu’s removal comes barely weeks after the removal of the Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Mr. Chido Obidiegwu.
Sources have linked Nwosu’s sack to incompetence and the dwindling image of the Governor, especially in the face of next year’s governorship election.
“As I speak to you, Mr Paul Nwosu has packed his bag, and we’re just waiting for the news to be announced by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Christian Aburime,” a source said.
Contacted for confirmation, the Press Secretary to the Governor, Christian Aburime, said he “cannot confirm the news yet.”
“Wait for further information from the Government because I cannot confirm whether he has been removed or resigned.
“I am waiting for further confirmation. I cannot precisely tell you what has happened,” Aburime replied.
