Governor Peter Mbah’s of Enugu State on Tuesday signed agreement with Jelfah Nigeria Limited for the revitalisation of the Sunrise Flour mills located at Emene, a suburb of Enugu city.

Speaking during the brief ceremony, Mbah said his administration was committed to moving the state from a public sector driven economy through results oriented partnerships.
The governor said the investment size of the project was N40 Billion with Jelfah group injecting 24 Billion Naira into the project.
He assured that his government would not fail on its part of the agreement, adding that his administration had resolved to make Enugu an investment destination.
He encouraged other prospective investors to see the state as a home for their investments as an enabling environment has been created for every business to thrive.
Earlier, the Director, Jelfah Nigeria limited, Moses Saromi, who commended the governor for his transformative leadership, said the state has made remarkable strides in economic development, job creation and sustainable growth.
He said the governor’s dedication to the advancement of Enugu State has laid the foundation for meaningful collaborations with investors, and acknowledged it has also unlocked new opportunities for private sector participation.
Saromi noted that Jelfah was committed to innovation, growth, and the sustainable development of communities by linking customers to farmers, investing in infrastructure, and supporting both large-scale and small-scale farmers.
He said the partnership not only aligned with Jelfah’s long-term vision but also furthers the Governor’s ambitious agenda of empowering the people, revitalising moribund assets, and ensuring sustainable development.
