The International Minister’s Forum in collaboration with Abia State Government has donated a generating set and a mowing machine to the School for the Blind Afara, Umuahia.
Speaking during the event, the Governor, Dr Alex Otti represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Matters, Apostle K. C. Wiper, lauded the members of the International Minister’s Forum for complementing the efforts of the Government in alleviating the sufferings of the citizens.
Gov. Otti maintained that his administration does not take for granted such good gesture and appreciated the forum for remembering the school for the blind Afara, umuahia.
In a remark , Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Elder Goodluck Ubochi, represented by the Executive Secretary, Secondary Education Management Board, Deaconess Hope Nwaneri, described the gesture as one in the right direction adding that the equipment will be judiciously utilised.
Handing over the equipment to the school authorities, the African President of International Minister’s Forum, Dr Blessing Jibuike, represented by Apostle Ben Nwankwo explained that the donation was borne out of the desire of the forum to assist in the good efforts of Gov. Otti in making lives more comfortable for the people and assured of its sustenance.
She commended Governor Alex Otti for the massive infrastructural development going on in the state and urged him not to relent.
Contributing, the Principal, School for the Blind, Afara, umuahia, Mrs. Benedict Onyeogaziri, thanked the forum for the kind gesture which according to her will help promote the sanitary condition of the school environment and appreciated the Governor for the brand new bus recently donated to the School for which such gesture is attracting like minds as seen today and prayed God to continue to strengthen him.
