The Rangers International FC of Enugu has appointed Barrister Alex Egbo as the new Administrative Secretary of the club as he replaces the former scribe, Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua.
The General Manager/CEO of Rangers, Amobi Ezeaku, said that the choice of Egbo was apt.
Ezeaku officially unveiled the new Rangers scribe during a media interactive session at the corporate office of the ‘Flying Antelopes’ in Enugu.
He thanked the former administrative secretary for his astute disposition while he served the club and wished him well in his new endeavours.
The general manager challenged the new scribe to be at his best at all times so as to help the club achieve its set targets for the season and beyond.
“I sincerely want to thank our former administrative secretary, Ferdinand Ugwuarua, for holding forth the mantle of leadership as he ensured that the ideals of the club were maintained.
“It is my strong belief that the scribe of the club, Barrister Alex Egbo, who is a Rangers through and through, will come up with great ideas that will help us conquer on all fronts and help Rangers to aspire for greater heights in the comity of football playing clubs both within and outside the shores of the country,” he said.
Ezeaku further said that the new scribe had shown a great deal of understanding in the running of club football since functioning as a technical assistant to the general manager.
In his speech, Barrister Egbo, thanked management and staff for giving him the opportunity to serve and promised to give his all to ensure that Rangers continued to fly higher amongst top clubs in the country and on the continent.
“Having served as technical assistant to the general manager of this club and I am conversant with the operations of this great club and with the collaborations of staff and management, we are going to come up with a sustainable achievement,” Egbo said.
