The proposed Take-It-Back nation-wide protest scheduled for Monday, April 7, recorded zero compliance in Umuahia, Abia State, as residents went about their normal businesses.
The streets were busy and businesses opened for normal operations.
There were no disruptions no processions by any individuals or group.
Meanwhile, the protest spearheaded by the Take-It-Back Movement and other civil society organisations, held in Lagos, and Abuja, whereprotesters were reportedly dispersed by the police with tear-gas.
Part of the grievances of the organisers include the alleged misuse of the Cybercrime Act, the worsening economic hardship in the country, as well as a “state of emergency” in Rivers State.
