The Enugu State Government has handed over newly refurbished School Buses to the Chairman, Science, Technical, and Vocational Schools Management Board, STVSMB, for onward distribution to the principals of the schools in Enugu state.
Performing the function on behalf of the state government, the Special Adviser to the governor on Education Innovation and Director of Experiential Learning, Enugu Green Smart Schools, Dr Chinyere Onyeisi, tasked the principals on judicious use of the buses.
While handing over the buses to the principals of the schools, Dr Onyeisi noted that Governor Mbah wants the best for the children of the state.
She encouraged them to work harmoniously as a team to reposition the Board through an innovative approach to teaching and learning.
She further said the governor had predicted the future of Enugu State through the smart green school initiative where every child in Enugu would be exposed to modern technology and be able to challenge the emerging tomorrow.
Receiving the vehicle keys from the SPA to the governor, the Chairman, STVSMB, Dr Amaka Ngene, while appreciating the governor for his commitment to redefining education in the state, said the Board would stop at nothing in ensuring that students are giving the best education in order to compete with their peers across the globe.
Dr Ngene who described Dr Mbah as education-friendly governor, noted that every facet of human endeavour is receiving an unprecedented transformation and development.
Some of the principals expressed gratitude to Governor Mbah for the gesture and promised to make prudent use of the vehicles.
