Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating a brighter future for children to reach their full potential in the state.
Soludo made this known on Tuesday, during the May 27 Children’s Day celebration, held at the Solution Fun City, Awka, with theme: “Stand Up, Speak Up and Building a Bullying-free Generation.”

Soludo, who at the event read the message of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the school children and teachers, said his government would continue to strive towards ensuring the safety and betterment of children in the state.
“The theme of the celebration is timely and aligns with our goal of building the desired culture where every child feels safe, respected and housed both in physical spaces and digital communities.
“Our children remain the bridge to the future. That is why we try to ensure that every child in government owned school in Anambra state receives free primary and secondary education because we know that you matter in the society.
“With us here you are in safe hands. Every day we wake up we are thinking about you and acting in the best interest to protect you and to give you a future so that you can guarantee a future to Anambra State, Nigeria and humanity,” he said.
Soludo, who recently commissioned the Fun City that hosted the event, vowed to roll out more fun cities across the state to reposition it as a destination of choice, beyond just a transit hub.
“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. That is why we finally built Fun City for you. Several more fun cities will arise in Anambra because our state must change from being a departure lounge to a destination choice; and the preferred place for fun.”
