The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the commencement of online registration for its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 34/2025, calling on qualified graduates and professionals to apply free of charge.
According to the announcement signed by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal H.B. Abubakar, the application portal will be open from August 27 to October 7, 2025. Interested candidates are expected to apply online via nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers.
Applicants must be Nigerian by birth and possess a recognized university degree or equivalent qualification. They must also have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme or hold a Certificate of Exemption. Eligible candidates must be between the ages of 20 and 40 by August 27, 2025.
The statement stressed that only those who meet the educational, age, and medical fitness requirements should apply. Medical standards include being psychologically fit, having no sight or hearing problems, no history of major orthopedic surgery, fractures, stammering, flat foot, or other psychological challenges. Minimum height requirements are 1.68 meters for males and 1.65 meters for females.
Applicants are required to submit two recent passport-sized photographs, photocopies of academic certificates, NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, letters of attestation and reference, and a completed medical examination form, along with their acknowledgment slip after online registration.
The zonal enlistment exercise will hold between October 13 and October 24, 2025, while successful applicants will be invited for the Selection Board Interview scheduled for November 3 to November 14, 2025. Those who scale through will proceed to basic military training slated to run from December 15, 2025, to June 15, 2026.
The Air Force advised interested candidates to complete their applications within the stipulated period—Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. WAT.
