The OBIdient Movement has declared its full support for Dr. George Moghalu, endorsing him as the Labour Party’s candidate for the November 8 governorship election in Anambra State.
National Coordinator, Yunusa Tanko, said the endorsement, made in an official statement, followed a series of meetings between Moghalu and the 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, signaling Moghalu’s full backing of the movement’s leader.
According to him, Moghalu is a “relentless warrior for the voiceless masses,” and his candidacy aligns with the core values of the movement.
“We declare, without reservation or equivocation, our absolute and thunderous endorsement of Dr. George Moghalu as the Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate for Anambra,” he stated.
Tanko expressed strong confidence that the LP is “coasting to victory with a landslide” in the upcoming polls, citing the state’s large voting population of 2.8 million registered voters.
He further shared a personal observation, stating that he witnessed firsthand Moghalu’s “unapologetic commitment to empathy, accountability, and people-centred governance.”
The Coordinator urged members and Labour Party faithful to “march with Mr. George Moghalu as one unbreakable army,” stressing that “the tide of history is turning, and Dr. Moghalu will lead us to victory.
