The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says over 95 per cent of results from Saturday’s Anambra governorship election have been successfully uploaded on its Result Viewing Portal (IReV).
Checks by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) showed steady progress in the transmission of results from polling units across the 21 local government areas of the state.
According to data on the IReV portal, 5,472 out of 5,720 polling units have completed result uploads, reflecting improved efficiency in the use of technology compared with previous elections.
INEC reaffirmed that all uploaded results would remain secure and verifiable, restating its commitment to credible and transparent elections.
Reports from across the state indicated that the exercise was generally peaceful, with no major incidents of violence, though voter turnout was relatively low.
