The traditional ruler of Ohanku, HRM King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has announced a free land initiative aimed at attracting investors to the community as part of efforts to boost economic development and create employment opportunities for local youths.
The monarch, who is also the General Overseer of the Omega Power Ministry (OPM), on Friday said individuals and corporate bodies interested in establishing factories, high-standard hotels, filling stations, and other legitimate businesses that can employ young people in Ohanku would be granted land at no cost.
“Any company or individual willing to build a factory, a high-standard hotel, a filling station, or any legitimate business that will employ our youths in Ohanku will receive free land from me, permanently,” he declared.
He noted that Ohanku’s business prospects will be further strengthened by the proposed construction of a modern general hospital in the area by the Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti.
“With the state-of-the-art general hospital that our beloved governor will be constructing in Ohanku, businesses will enjoy strong returns because of the influx of people from within and outside the community,” the monarch said.
Highlighting recent infrastructure improvements, he explained that regular electricity has been restored across Ikwuorie, Ujuru, and Okotoko communities.
“By the grace of God, we now have regular light in Ohanku after I brought electricity to the three communities. Investors will have enough power to run their businesses effectively,” he added.
He also referenced improved security and nighttime visibility through streetlights installed with support from the Niger Delta Development Commission.
“Today, our streets are well-lit at night. Everywhere is bright, safe, and suitable for business operations,” he said.
To strengthen telecommunications connectivity, the monarch disclosed that he has donated land to facilitate the installation of a network mast in Ohanku following engagements with telecom operators linked to the Omega Power Ministries.
“We have secured land for a telecommunications mast so that investors will enjoy reliable network services to operate their businesses smoothly,” he stated.
Assuring potential investors of a peaceful business environment, the monarch described Ohanku youths as welcoming and law-abiding.
“The youths in Ohanku are the friendliest you can find anywhere in the world. I am even ready to write an undertaking guaranteeing that no youth will disturb your business,” he promised.
“Come and receive your free land permanently, and let us build a prosperous future for Ohanku together,” he said.
