Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has dismissed reports claiming that Germany rejected his nomination as Nigeria’s ambassador to the European nation.
The reports, which gained traction on social media—particularly on X—alleged that German authorities declined to accept his appointment.
Reacting via his Facebook page, Fani-Kayode described the claims as “fake news,” accusing political opponents of orchestrating a smear campaign to undermine him.
“These opposition elements are so pained by my appointment that they are doing everything possible to discredit it. Whether they like it or not, I will serve my country,” he said.
The former minister reaffirmed his readiness to assume the diplomatic role, insisting that the reports were baseless and aimed at frustrating his nomination.
