Mr. Peter Obi, an ADC presidential hopeful, has held a crucial meeting with the South-East chairmen-elect of the party in Enugu.
Mr. Martins Ugwu, Head of the ADC media team in the state, made this known in a press statement.
He said the meeting was a calculated show of regional alignment aimed at consolidating party structures in the region.
According to him, the meeting was Obi’s first with the newly elected South-East chairmen of the party in Enugu.
The meeting was connected to Obi’s aspiration to contest the forthcoming ADC presidential primary and was aimed at strengthening cohesion, aligning leadership priorities, and deepening grassroots engagement across the South-East zone.
Ugwu said the meeting, which was held behind closed doors, focused on reinforcing internal party democracy, as well as harmonising state-level operations.
Among those present at the meeting were the Enugu State Chairman-elect, Prof. Augustine Akubue, alongside his counterparts from Imo, Abia, Anambra, and Ebonyi states.
