Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has forwarded names of five commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Leo Oketa has said.
Oketa disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday in Abakaliki.
The chief press secretary gave the names of the commissioner nominees as Mr. Mathias Adum, Mr. Celestine Nwali, Mr. Romanus Nwasum, Mr. Chris Uchaji, and Mrs. Beatrice Eze.
He said that the governor also forwarded names of seven nominees as development centre coordinators.
The nominees and the development centers are Justice Ogbonnaya, Peter Uduma, Sunday Agwu, Felix Ogbu, Chukwudi Obia, Oliver Mbam and Eucharia Agbo for Akaeze, Ubeyi, Ishielu, Onicha, Izizi, Omenyi and Ngbo Central development centers, respectively.
Oketa said that all the nominees were expected to submit their Curriculum Vitae, relevant credentials and tax clearance certificates among others to the Office of the Clerk of the Assembly not later than May 12, 2022.
Ikengaonline reports that three of the commissioner nominees, namely, Adum, Nwali, Nwasum also served as commissioners under the former state governor, Chief Martin Elechi.
