Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Enugu State Government says it plans to revamp about eighty-five abandoned tourist sites across the state for optimal use and revenue generation. The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Ugochi Madueke, disclosed this during an interview with newsmen in Enugu. This is following a viral video where the officer was seen assaulting a citizen. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Governor Alex Otti of Abia State is to inaugurate additional seven roads completed by his administration as part of activities marking the one year anniversary of his administration. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, has rejected the newly reconstituted Governing Councils of Federal Government-owned polytechnics. ASUP said it was disappointed with the qualifications of the various members of the Council, saying they are people with no knowledge of the workings of the polytechnic system. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Anambra State Government, Monday, commenced the demolition of shanties and illegal structures, said to be defacing Awka, the state capital. The exercise was carried out by Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) at Ifite Awka axis of the capital city.
