Ben Ezechime, Enugu Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has visited Nimbo in Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of the state where four residents were killed over the weekend by suspected Fulani herders. Speaking during the visit Mbah vowed to protect lives and property of the residents of the state. Ben Ezechime, Enugu The people of Umuanigbiyovo Oyiwode, Akpawfu community in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State on Sunday conducted mass burial for eight members of the community, who died in communal clashes, which began in April 2023. There was heavy presence of security operatives as soon as the burial ceremonies went underway. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Just as Ikengaonline had reported, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Monday, released the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME results. JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, announced this at a press conference at the board’s headquarters, in Abuja, few hours after the last batch of candidates sat for the exam. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Former Super Eagles winger and Enyimba FC coach, Finidi George, has been appointed as the new Head Coach of the Super Eagles. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki The Ebonyi State Government has enrolled all civil and public servants in the state into the state health insurance scheme. Flagging off the insurance scheme in Abakaliki on Monday, the state governor, Francis Nwifuru, disclosed that his administration has taken responsibility for paying five percent consolidated salary of the workers for the programme. The governor noted that he is concerned about the health of all the workers and expressed readiness to pay five percent of the various salaries for their health insurance because, according to him, “health is wealth and a healthy state is a wealthy state.”…
Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Nkwuda Vincent, a 42-year-old man and native of Ndiogbu in the Ndieze community in the Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has allegedly slit his cousin’s throat, Mr Nkwuda Chukwuka, for demanding some branches of a tree, which fell on their family land. It was learned that the incident occurred on penultimate Monday, when the suspect, Mr Nkwuda Vincent, an Assistant Catechist of St Samuel Station Ndiogbu in Ndieze autonomous community, cut down a tree standing on the boundary of their land.
