Peter Mbah of Enugu State has transmitted an Executive Bill to the Enugu State House of Assembly to checkmate criminal activities among native doctors and herbalists in the state. Mr Uche Anichukwu, the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on External Relations, made this known in a statement on Wednesday in Enugu. Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Enugu State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dame Ugochi Madueke, has dismissed allegations making the rounds that her office was involved in a visa fraud, describing it as false and malicious. It would be recalled that there were reports recently in the social media that over 30 persons were defrauded in a failed trip by the state’s cultural troupe to Paris, France. Ben Ezechime, Enugu Major General JOJ Okoloagu (retired) has appealed to the Federal Government to fast-track the completion of 9th Mile–Obollo-Afor–Oturkpo Otukpo Road to ease vehicular movements from South-East to the North. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki A 60 years old woman, Awoke Rose, has been clobbered to death by her neighbour in Ebonyi State. The incident happened in Egugho, Ezzagu in Ishielu Local Government Area of the state. Sources in the community said the woman was attacked and killed by her neighbour, one Ezeoke Chidera. It was learnt that the incident happened on Monday, 2nd June 2025.
