Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Valentine Ozigbo, a governorship aspirant in the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election, has dragged party candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu to court over the outcome of the election.  Ozigbo seeks to challenge the legitimacy of the April 5, 2025, exercise that was held at Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka. Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has temporarily closed the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu for emergency repairs. In a statement issued and signed by Mrs Obiageli Orah, the Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, FAAN said that the measure became necessary due to a  sudden and significant rupture in the asphalt surface at a critical section of the runway. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki  Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has disbursed N200, 000 each as financial assistance to about  800 indigenes of Ebonyi State who were evacuated back to Ebonyi State from the Ilaje Otumara village demolition exercise by the Lagos State Government.
