Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has temporarily closed the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu for emergency repairs. In a statement issued and signed by Mrs Obiageli Orah, the Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, FAAN said that the measure became necessary due to a  sudden and significant rupture in the asphalt surface at a critical section of the runway.
