Ike Nnachi,  Abakaliki The Chairman of Onicha Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, Mr. Ikechukwu Ogboffia, has said that over 100 people have been killed within five years in a land dispute between Abaomege and Ishinkwo communities. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The Nigerian Bar Association has rejected the emergency rule imposed on Rivers State by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, arguing that its ratification by the National Assembly via a mere voice vote has rendered the exercise unconditional. NBA National President, Afam Osigwe (SAN), who featured on Channels Television’s Politics Today, faulted the National Assembly for endorsing the action through an unconstitutional process. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Police operatives in Anambra State have arrested a suspected cultist, and fake military officer terrorising some parts of the state. The suspects identified as Kosiso Okonwko and Augustine Okafor, were reportedly intercepted at Obosi and Amansea respectively, and with some incriminating items in their possession. Among items recovered from the duo are Berreta pistol, and a tricycle.
